PIF - Again and a finish

Family Medley
By Heart in Hand
Stitched on 32 count Legacy by Picture This Plus
Thank you all for the kind words you left me the other day. I frogged out what I'd already stitched and moved it out a row to meet up with what was off by a stitch on the bottom. I just see all the beautiful work everyone is doing and I just feel like what i do isn't as good as everyone elses when I make a stupid mistake like that.

Well I didn't make it into New Haven the other day (just to dang hot) and I probably won't be going in at all this week. It's just been crazy and people are complaining about the production company people not letting anyone see anything and if you do they are making you destroy on the spot any photos that you might take. Kind of sucks but, at least the papers and the news have been having good coverage of it all. From what I understand (and I could be wrong) what they are shooting is stuff that will be at the beginning of the movie. Other than that I've not heard much about it.

I signed up for Harmien's Pay it Forward Challenge. The rules (if you don't already know they are as follows):

I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 people who leave a comment on my blog. You will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

Your family medley turned out wonderful. I'm so sorry you had to do the frogging, that is so frustrating. However, don't feel like you are alone in having to frog, we all of us have that at different times. I know I do way more than I want, I just generally don't own up to it. Congratutions on working through it to end up with such a lovely piece.

Yay for the finish, and yay for you for sticking with it. It's not a properly done piece if something hasn't been frogged somewhere on it! Well, that's my opinion anyway, LOL

Family Medley looks awesome! I am so glad that you finished it. I am also easily frustrated, especially when I compare my stitching to others...I totally feel ya.

Congrats on your finish! It is really lovely. Frogging is so frustrating but don't let it get you down, it happens to everyone. You stitch beautiful pieces

Jenn it just turned out so perfect here!! You did a fantastic job on this! We all go through frogging and being off and it just throws things completely off! Don't ya just hate it when that happens? Congratulations on a really nice finish! And by the way you are a really great stitcher! Don't sell yourself short!!

Debby :)

Oh hon, I know how hard that sucks. Somewhere I still have a WIP from ~10 years ago where after 4 tries I just could NOT get the border to line up. I gave up and chucked the whole project into the stitching storage tub, and that's where it's stayed ever since. I found it earlier this year while looking for the book for another pattern from it. It is heartbreaking when you realize how much you've got to undo. I also blew it on the border of my current TW project, and spent 3 hrs ripping that out before stitching it again. It's NOT just you!
On the other hand, you should have gone to New Haven on Sunday. They were filming parts of the new Indiana Jones movie all weekend! I didn't get to see much other than some closed streets, but still..

Oh Jenn. I sympathise. I did exactly the same thing on my Four Seasons Chairs! It's not just you, EVERYONE does it. Family Medley looks great, by the way. x

I love your finish. I love the desgn. Sorry! you had to frog. Everybody makes mistakes, I have a WIP right now that I just totally missed up and dont know what to do. I am not that far and its a small design. There's probably alot more people who frog or just throw aside, then we know about, lol.

Beautifully done Jenn! I think it looks fantastic :o) We all make mistakes and don't you know that it's supposed to be customary to have one mistake in your project? It's a sign of a good stitcher :o) I'm not kidding.

Hi Jenn!
I am finally starting to catch up with things. I just read your last post and this point. I think your work is great!!!! And I'm glad you went back and frogged the part that you had to frog. Even with the frogging, you stitched it up sooo fast. Family Medley came out awesome!!!! I'm glad you don't give up stitching because you are inspiring to me.
