The New Years Day Frog

Yep the little amphibian came hopping into my place today. Must have thought it was a good place to spend the first day of 2007.

I picked up my 2006 Lizzie Kate Flip-It for January and started working on it today. This is what I'd gotten done after the frog got me twice.

Sorry the scan is a little crooked. I hope to have it done in the next day or two so I can move on to other things. I'm not sure if I'm going to wait and do each one at the beginning of each month so it will take me all year to get them done or If I'm going to do them as I find some free time since they don't take very long.

I've kitted up a few new projects I want to start. I know I have a million to finish but, I (for the first time in a long time) feel like stitching and I think working on a few new things might just be the trick.

I've kitted up a Somebunny pattern I found in one of the UK cross stitch magazines. It was something like the best cross stitch patterns. It's of 3 bunnies napping. Just to cute to pass up. I'm also thinking of starting the Lizzie Kate Season Houses. Not the boxers..I think the ones I want to do are Snip-It's. I want to do them all together and hang them in my kitchen.

I got a Gift Certificate to Down Sunshine Lane from Mary for Christmas and I put it to use the other day. I got the new Lizzie Kate Flip-It's for 2007 (Jan and Feb so far) as well as Love Crazy. I also order an item that was on my wish list. If I can find a piece of fabric in my stash that is big enough I will start the 2007 Flip-It's next.
I hope everyone has a nice - and safe - New Years Eve. DH and I stayed in, ordered pizza and watched movies till almost midnight then we watched the ball drop in Times Square. Today it rained almost all day so we did some more unpacking. We are almost done. We moved a lot of stuff that I didn't plan on keeping but, it was just easier at the time to pack it then try and go though everything and throw it out. So I did some of that today too. If felt so good to get things put away, and thrown out. There is still so much to do but, most of what is left is just decorating stuff like hanging photos and stuff like that.

The frog came to my house too yesterday. I had to rip out a whole row TWICE! Ugh! Sounds like you got it under control though - cute start!

Looks like you got a good start even with the frog coming. Hopefully the rest of it is trouble free. LK's stuff is cute, I'll enjoy watching your progress on the Flip-its.

Sometimes starting new projects that you want to work on, rather than trying to force yourself to work on something you already have underway which just doesn't appeal, is really motivating. Getting some fun new projects behind you might make the older ones more appealing again later. I saw the bunnies you're talking about, they were cute. Looking forward to seeing your new WIP's as you start them.
