YEAH!!!

What a great day. We went down to the district court house today and Paul got sworn in as an American Citizen. The ceremony was short and sweet and very interesting and the judge who did it did a nice talk before hand and was pretty funny tossing in little jokes here and there that had everyone laughing.

Here are 2 pictures of Paul taking the oath of citizenship.

and getting his certificate from the judge. (the guy in the middle is Bill he is the one who gave Paul the test on Tuesday and he was doing all the paperwork before the ceremony today).

I came home today to 2 packages waiting for me.

Mary sent me the 2 key chains as a "Welcome to our new home" gift. Thanks so much Mary! The Sox one is already on my key chain. I think Paul is going to claim the Patriots one for a while then we might switch off *grin* The ornament is from Dawn. She sent me a pattern in a trade and said she didn't feel like she could just send the patter so she included one of the first ornaments she made for me. Thanks Dawn! I feel so touched to have one of the first ones you did. It is a lovely addition to our new home and I can't wait to put it up on our tree. This is the first hand stitched ornament I have for my tree.

I've been stitching but, I'm still working on the gift I mentioned the other day so I can't post the photo of it yet.

Since I did some digging tonight to find the cable for the digital camera so I could up load Pauls photos I thought I would share a few other pictures I've taken over the past few weeks.

This is my headless husband (now how did I manage to take the pic jus when he looked down. I'm usually good at NOT doing that LOL) up on the latter cleaning out our gutters last weekend.

Ok so who here has seen Cars? Everyone (grin) ok. We went to my dad's office when we were moving to use one of his trucks and one of the guys in the next office over restores old cars/trucks and he had this sitting in the parking lot. We took one look at it and thought it looked like Mater in Cars. I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. :)

Huge congratulations to Paul - and those are great photos of him from the ceremony - makes me want to cry!!

I am soooo happy for you right now - I feel like things are finally looking up to the point where even you have to see it!!!

I adore those key chains - Mary is so sweet! Do you have her postal address? I cannot even find her email on her blog, do you have that too??

Thanks for the Christmas card - got it today, and Mike just told me I need to get off my butt and get ours ready to mail! LOL He is all too right! But tonight we are going off to have dinner with my Mom in celebration of her 69th birthday which was last Saturday - guess I can do the cards during the Pats game tomorrow :-)

Your pictures were wonderful. I haven't seen Cars yet, but it is on my list to watch, the previews I did see looked like fun.
