A Great Day

DH and I went up to Hartford today as he had an appointment with Immigration for his Citizenship Test and HE PASSED!! Yeah!! He's so excited and relieved. The swearing in ceremony is Friday morning in New Haven. It feels so good to have this over and done with and to finally have Immigration out of our lives. (nothing but a money sucking department. they want you to pay so much money for every little thing) We thought the swearing in ceremony might be in Hartford today but we are happy with Friday. Our other choices were the 22nd of December or January 5 and DH didn't want to wait that long.

I did a little stitching on Christmas gift last night. The person it's for reads my blog so I can't share it yet. I did my stitching at Town Fair Tire while I was waiting (over and hour) for new tires to be put on my car. It felt good to have that much time to just sit and stitch.

We stopped at the mall on the way home and I got Pirates of the Caribbean 2 as well as Jurassic Park 1 and 2 on DVD. We use to have them on video but, we haven't been able to find them for a while so I thought it was time to upgrade.

Sorry I haven't commented in ages, but I faithfully check in on you! :) And I am so thrilled that you guys are in your new house--yay!

Congratulations to Paul! David had been hesitant to get American citizenship, but since learning that the US now recognizes dual citizenship for Australia, he is thinking about doing it. How much work was it for Paul to get his citizenship? Did he maintain Aussie citizenship as well?

Merry Christmas!

Congratulations on his passing the citizens test, what a great early Christmas gift for you both. Pirates 2 was great. I loved it in the theater, but haven't gotten it on DVD yet.
