Tomorrow is Carols birthday and she got my gift to her in the mail today. After a little persuading I got her to open it today.

I stitched up a freebie by Passione Ricamo and made it into a pillow for her. I just realized that I didn't take a picture of the back of the pillow so you could all see the fabric. Maybe Carol will have done that on her blog. If not I'll post a picture of it tomorrow as I still have some of the fabric left. I also sent Carol so fabric for finishing and a cute little birthday duckie.

We have been trying to teach the kittens not to climb on the counters and so far we have been having pretty good luck when we are home.....BUT....when we aren't.......

I came home to this the other day. Felix has a bit of a sweet tooth and loves sugar. Took me most of the night to get everything cleaned up. It was a brand new bag of sugar we'd just put in the sugar bowl. We've now learned to keep the sugar bowl in one of the cabinets ALL the time. :)
If your wondering where Stitch was in all of this...she was sitting on the floor like a good girl looking up at Felix and then looking at me as if to say "I'm the good one mommy!"
The last of the lilies in our yard are in bloom and I wanted to share a picture of them with you. They are in our front yard but, I think I'm going to try and transplant them into the back for next year. They just isn't enough light for them so they had to grow till they were falling over to get to the sunlight.

I do have an update on my L*K piece to share with all of you but, I can't get my scanner to work tonight. So it will have to wait till tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a good week so far. Thanks for stopping by!

What a beautiful gift!!

When my sister's cat was living with us temporarily she used to love to get up on the counters. It wasn't a huge issue (just a lot of cat hair to clean up up there) until the cat knocked a $500 3-D imaging prototype print-out that my husband had brought home for work for a final coat of paint off the counter and it shattered into 1000 pieces. Needless to say, she wasn't welcome back on the counter after that and to this day the cat doesn't like my husband :)

Naughty kitty! What a mess...and of course he does something like this after you empty a new bag into the sugar bowl. :-)

One of my mom's two labs was a counter-surfer. They thought it was Coco, the "new" dog, because she'd be the one covered in stuff from the counter and the other dog seemed so good. Later they learned it was Whiskee who was misbehaving. I guess she was smart enough to know she needed to blame someone!

Too funny! We used to have a dog that had a sweet tooth and went after the sugar bowl, but our cat prefers savory - he goes nuts when he smells garlic or blue cheese dressing and tries to get at it.

I love the picture of Felix!

Hehehe naughty kitty! I thought cats didn't like sweet stuff? One of my friend's cats used to go mad for raw pastry when her mum was baking, weird.

Love the pillow for Carol :)

Jenn!
Your present to Carol came out great! Felix is very funny. Do you think Stitch got off the counter in time for you not to see here there enjoying the sugar too? Great picture.
I love your lilies. The colors are so pretty.

What a lovely gift. I love those mono fairies myself.

Bad kitty! I hope you brushed his teeth afterwards before tucking him in bed LOL.

Pretty gift for Carol. It look stunning. Naughty Felix is all I can say. My sister had a dog that was addicted to chocolate and if they had chocolate in the house they had to hide it in the drawers or he opened the cupboards and helped himself.

The pillow turned out wonderful, what a fun and different present for Carol. Cute kitty picture too, although I'm sure you wanted to strangle Felix when you came home and saw the mess. You asked about my Stitch Sweatshirt. My DSIL had to have the Stitch sweatshirt made for me, as she couldn't find any already made. She ordered from
http://www.zazzle.com/ The sweatshirt is really nice quality, and she said the service time was good.

Oh dear naughty kitty! We had a cat who knocked over the Christmas tree one year so he could steal the chocolate off it.
Nice pillow you made for Carol

That is a gorgeous pillow, Jenn!! What a gift of devotion! I know Carol will cherish it. Yep, cats are counter creatures...they mean no harm, as they get older they'll have learned to tiptoe!

Lovely gift! Too funny about the cat, although I'm sure you weren't laughing when you had to clean it all up. My dog is like this with the furniture. He never tries to get up on the couch when we're sitting there, but as soon as we leave the room (or leave the house), he goes up and makes himself comfortable. Sneaky!

You've been awfully quiet, hope everything is ok. So, how are the kittens? How is your LK piece and the little green squares of Luck coming?
