Little Green Squares

I spent Sunday working on LL&L (Letters Leprechauns & Luck) while I watched the Sox then the Celtics. I didn't get far into the Celtics game before I put it down. The little green squares were starting to drive me crazy.

I can't wait to start filling the squares in but, I'd like to get a good section of blocks done before I do. That way I can get a number of squares filled in all at once before I move to another section. We'll see how it goes tonight. I may end up working on more squares.

I didn't get any stitching done last night. DH and I went over to my parents house to see their new little addition.

This is Tessie. It's good to have a puppy in the house again after the loss of Sophie earlier this year. Tessie took to her new home quite happily yesterday.
Other than that not much has been happening. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Tessie is beautiful! I wish them many years of joy with her! LLL is off to a great start! I stitched something with lots of squares as well--The Kiss. Oh, I remember how it drove me crazy! Worth it in the end, though.

Aaaww, Tessie is so cute!!!
I can understand stitching squares can get a little boring, although it's a beautiful green. Go on, fill in a few of those squares, just to keep your interest!! Plus I would love to see more... ;o)

Aw, Tessie's beautiful!! And your're going great guns on that border, even if it is driving you bats ... it's definitely worth getting more done though if you can bear it - if you're like me, I have a tendency to put things aside once the 'fun part' is finished so it's much better to keep stitching the boring bits first ;P

Tessie is a cute addition to your parent's family. That is a good idea to get some of the boxes done first before starting the squares... thanks for the idea to keep in mind when I start one of those block patterns.

What a beautiful new addition to the family! I sounds like she's settled in nicely.

I can see how stitching all those squares could be a pain. Counting, ergh!

Tessie is adorable, what a cutie. I'll bet it is so much fun watching her play and get used to her new home. You have a nice start on LL&L. This is really a cute stitch, and with all the little seperate boxes you'll feel like you're having finishes along the way. I'll enjoy watching it grow and fill in.

Yep, I could see how those little green squares would drive you mad :)

And how gorgeous is Tessie?!

I can understand what you mean about the squares, they are a bit boring to do - I found the same when I did Tiny Trees. I think I did around 9 or 12 squares then filled them. Each mini design goes quite quick and most are different so hopefully that'll be good motivation :)

Tessie is just gorgeous.

Your squares are coming right along. Good idea to get a bunch of them done before filling in (which is the fun part!)

I can see how those squares could drive you nuts ;o) Like you said, do maybe three rows of squares, fill them in, and then do the whole thing over again.

Tessie is adorable! Glad to hear they got another puppy Jenn :o)

You're a Red Sox fan, too! And Celtics and all the Boston hometeams??? I love you even more, Jenn!!! :] I'm now knitting baby Kellan a Red Sox preemie cap per request of his daddy. Tessie has the sweetest face.
Hugs,
Deb

Oh wow! A blogger cousin for Lucy & Harry (LOL). She's as cute as a button. These two labs of ours are No3 & 4 for our family. We got our first in 1992 & think that they are just such wonderful dogs to have.

Great start on the LL&L project.
