I could just cry

I spent most of the evening working on Family Medley and I was just about done with the border when I noticed that I'm off by one stitch... (sorry about the bad scan)

I can't really fix it cause I run into the words and the house at the bottom. I just don't know what to do. I think my house is off a row and that's the problem but, I can't go and frog it all out...it's just way to much...
When something like this happens it makes me wonder why I stitch at all....I'm off to cry. I'm sorry I don't mean to sound so.....upset about it...but, when something like this happens I just want to give up stitching.

Believe me I understand...something very similar happened to me today...I fudged it and it looks "okay"....maybe you could take it over 1 row to the left from the Where?

Good Luck!
Don't quit stitching!!!

Oh how frustrating!! I hear you. It's devastating to put so much work in and have a teensy mistake put the whole thing in jeopardy. :( I'm sure you'll figure out a way to fudge it so it looks great!! Good luck!!

How terrible, Jenn! I hope you can figure a way to fix it.

Waaaaaaaaah!! Oh no, huge sympathies. Vibes so you work out a way to fix without the frog.
hugs, and don't quit!

I think that has happened to all of us at some point, so we understand your frustration. Don't give up!!! Just put it away for a few hours or days and then take a fresh look at it, I'm sure you'll figure it out beautifully!! Take care!

Oh no! I can sympathise, this has happened to me on more occasions than I care to remember! Hope you can get around it without having to unpick too much.

How frustrating! Grrrrrr!! All I can think of is all those old samplers that little girls used to do that were so miscounted in so many ways but yet that adds to the appeal. I quite like imperfections. If you can figure out a way to make it look okay then do that. xx

Aww, that really stinks! I vote for you to put it away for a few days and then come back to it. Don't quit stitching!

Put a button there! You won't be able to tell. (Can you tell I'm the Queen of Screw Ups?)

How about just redoing the border, modifying it by recentering the design... know what I mean? Something like make it three sttiches between the design and border, or whatever it takes...

Big hugs - that stinks! On one of my Chatelaine projects, my borders didn't match up either - I could have just died.

oh no!! that's so frustrating! Maybe if you don't stitch the border the mistake won't show that much.

I can sympathise :( Hope you can fudge it with to much frogging.

Oh Jenn I can certainly relate to that! This model I am doing is one I am not interested in really and it has hundreds of quarter stitches. I had to completely frog out this one thing that took me two days to complete because I did this very thing, plus I realized I had put it in the wrong spot. You are not the only one as I cried too and was ready to quit. I got it fixed and I would be lost not having my stitching so it was worth it after all! You are a great stitcher! Debby :)
