A Good Friend

I had a wonderful mail day today. A few weeks ago I sent a package off to Cathey containing my
2 Margaret Sherry charts that I'd given up getting the eyes done on cause I just couldn't get the french knots down.

Well they arrived home today complete with wonderful french knot eyes. Thank you so much Cathey!!

I didn't get any stitching done today. We are having my parents over for mothers day tomorrow and I spent the day cleaning the house and outside and guess what I got to do today!?! I mowed my lawn! I know it sounds silly but, I've never done it before. My dad would always do it when I lived at home. I know the novelty will wear off soon but, for now it was so cool to get to do it.

Both pieces are adorable. How sweet of her to help you out with the french knots, they were much to cute to have not gotten done and to have sat in a UFO pile just waiting on the finihing touch. I have trouble with french knots too, and there are quite a few on my current project, hopefully they will turn out well and I won't go to crazy getting them done.

Have fun with the lawn mowing. Although it is a pain a lot of the time, when you are done, looking at the clean neat lawn does give a feeling of accomplishment.

The little French knots look super :) Glad Cathey could help you out! I personally hate French Knots too...so I use petit seed beads for eyes and such... :)
Welcome to the world of mowing :)
I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon! LOL!!!

I understand how you feel about mowing your yard. Growing up i wasn't allowed to mow....it was a "boy" thing and hubby won't let me mow either...he claims I am accident prone..lol.

Jenn,
The pieces you sent to Cathey to finish came out great. You are really getting far on the Celtic Heart. I loved all the stash you won and also bought at Celebrations. I unpacked my clothes so I could wash them but I haven't gone thru my newly acquired stash. I do have the Hello Kitty pillow on my bed. I love my Britty Kitty bag. It's wonderful. Molly can smell Misha on the bag...lol. She likes Misha.
I'm glad you enjoyed mowing the lawn. I enjoyed being roommates with you again this year at Celebration. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Cute pieces - and I love the picture of Misha on your luggage! Guess you're not supposed to go away without Misha.

Oh, I've tagged you - read my blog! Sorry :) !

Where in CT are you?

Aww, these two pieces are lovely, Jenn!
I'm very greatful we don't have a lawn, just a paved sitting area. Even without the grass, it's hard enough to maintain.
