I think the new PR chart COULD HAVE been very nice but, I don't really care for it. I would like it a lot more and jumpped right on stitching it IF...1 her head didn't look so small on her body and 2 the owl she is holding was bigger. I do love the colors in this and the fabric that was used for it.
Maybe I'm just being picky. I know I don't like a lot of the PR charts cause I dont' like the faces. I'm very picky on the charts I will do of people. If I LOVE the chart but don't like the face I will not stitch it. Silly I know.

I don't really know how to finish my pieces other than either framing or in a tuck pillow. I really do need to learn how to finish items in new ways so I can take part in some exchanges.

Do you dream of running your own LNS/ONS? If so, tell us about yourdream. If not, tell us about your cross stitch dream… maybe you dream of designing, dyeing your own floss or fabric, etc.

Oh this is a dream of mine. I'd love to do either one. I would lean more to doing an online shop rather than a real one. The only thing stopping me is that I really don't know how to get started.

what is the name of the chart? is it Mirabilia or L&L? It is gorgeous. Sorry that you don't care for it but we all have different tastes and it would be a boring world if we all liked and did the same thing :-)
Wow I love this chart, its so pretty! Can you tell me where we can buy this?
I know just what you mean about being picky about faces. I've passed up a few charts that I loved because the faces weren't "right". I'm looking forward to seeing this one posted as a WIP somewhere so I can see how she looks up close. I LOVE the colors and her gown.
I've been eyeing her for days and just adore her! I don't think her head looks small, it is proportioned to her body - her cape is thick though, as it should be in winter. The owl looks the right size too. Just my opinion - LOL!
I am so with you on the PR stuff. I bought Winter Beauty awhile back and was all excited but her face is just ... eh. I dunno. I saw this one as well and I think you're right, the head is ... off. I'm not good enough (or maybe it's dedicated enough) to chart another face to stick in there. I love the Mira faces tho.
I agree with you completely! Don't like PR faces, so I stay awy from the charts I love the dress in this one though - its just gorgeous, but the owl is too small and defintely the PR faces are not for me... but I'm sort of glad becuase I already have so much stash that I don't need another designer to collect and try and stitch
Hi Jenn. You asked why I call my other half Him-In-Doors? Well, years ago there was a television series on here called "Minder" where the central character Arthur Daley had a long-suffering and never-seen wife whom he only ever refered to as "Er-In-Doors" and it sort of became a popular "term of endearment" round the country. While I was looking into this blogging thing I noticed that nobody called their relatives by their names, DH, DBF, DD etc. Well, I have an aversion to abbreviations, silly I know, but that's me, so I decided to call Dave "Him-In-Doors". Clear as mud? p.s. I'm with you about her face. x
Ooooooo I love this chart and will be getting it soon. I just love the colours.
Your Lizzie Kates are coming along wonderfully can't wait to see more hun.
Hugs & Stitches xxxx
I have to totally agree with you! I really wanted to like it and just couldn't put my finger on what was off about it for me....and then I read your blog!!! thanks so much!
