It is a small world

I was talking with Ann and we discovered that we both grew up in the same town here in CT and went to school with each other from 8th grade - 12th for me. Ann was 2 years behind me.

I've yet to dig out my year books...with all this packing I have to find them. And find Ann's picture.

My dad got Sitting Pretty back from the framers on Thurday and here is what it looks like.

*Laughing* He hung it in the bathroom. But, It goes so well in the room and the frame matches the fixtures perfectly. You can even see in this picture the sparkles though the glass.

Well we got the new carpeting in on Saturday. What a nightmare that was! First they didn't have our carpet..it was coming from Boston and didn't make the truck...but, I lied a little and told them I'm selling the place (which is true) and I had showing on Monday morning so I couldn't wait till Monday night for them to come. (that was the lie) We don't have a showing till Tomorrow night. So they were going to put the carpet on a truck and have it delivered to us (they were going to do the same to someone else too) and when they dropped it off they would call the installers and then they would show up to put the carpet in.

Well the carpet should have been here by 11 and the installers between 1 - 4. 1 shows up...no carpet, no installers...and when they call they can't tell us anything. This continued most of the day till the installers called a 6 and said they would be at our place in 45 minutes. Turns out they had the carpet. Don't know how THEY got it but, they had it.

So once they got there it only took them 1hr and 20 minutes to do the carpet. We are still trying to get things put back into place...it's taking so long cause some things I'm just packing up. not going to bother to put them back out.

It's been just to hot here to stitch. I hope that it cools off soon so I can get some things done.

I hope that bathroom is not damp?!
:o)
It's such a lovely stitching, thanks for the photo and the carpet story.
Packing your things is very clever.
Saves you time later! ;o)

I've always believe that stitching a small design on a huge piece of fabric is such a big waste. Am I going to cut in the middle and leave the edges to waste...silly me!

Congratulations!!...It looks very pretty with the fabric space.

Jenn, I love the birds and the fabric. It looks great. It is a small world and crazy when you think about it that in this little group of bloggers we find someone from the same town and school. :) Ann.

The frame really enhances the design. And the fabric really sparkles. Love it! Glad you got the carpet installed in time. Take care!
