Been Busy

I've been busy the last few days but, it's been good. I've been getting a lot of stuff done.

On Thursday I dropped off a few pieces to be framed. I think I picked out nice frames and mats (for the ones getting mats). I should have them all back by May 8. Now I just need to do some thinking about where I want to hang them when I get them back.

On Saturday Paul and I went to see Billy Joel in Hartford. We had a fun night and it was also a record breaking night. Jerry Garcia had played the Civic Center 21 times (18 with the Dead and 3 with the JG Band) on Satruday night Billy Joel played his 22nd show at the Civic Center. Just a little bit of trivia for all of you. *grin*

Yesterday all it did was rain, rain, rain...I had a bunch of things I wanted to do and I actually got them. done. YEAH!!! :) I got up early and did some grocery shopping. When I got home I did a few loads of laundry and got out the Summer cloths put them away in the bedroom and packed up the Winter cloths to go back down to storage. I also did a lot of straightening out.

I did also manange to get some stitching done.

All the birds are done and I've started on the back stitching.

Paul might be going down to Australia in a few weeks. His Grandmother isn't doing to good so he wants to go down and see her. Karen Paul will be staying outside of Sydney in St. Ives. Is that far from you? was thinking of sending him up to your shop.

Glad you had a good time seeing Billy.
I've always wanted to see Billy Joel-he was a big part of my college days.

Can't forget the baby birds-how cute are they? There are a few companion ones to this design-baby owls and blue jays as seen in the Keepsakes Needleart catalog. They would look really precious all hung up together.

They look cute even without backstitch. I remember you saying you hate doing it. Think you're gonna leave them like that? ~_^

Hi Jenn,

I would absolutely love your hubby to come and visit our new shop but we are in the Upper Blue Mountains which are west of Sydney. St Ives is a Northern suburb of Sydney and is probably about an hours drive. There is a new expressway from the north up to the mountains and it is an easy drive but I guess it depends on the time he has. If he is able to come up, Bren and I will take him to lunch at one of the galleries nearby and make it as much fun as possible. Just let me know if he is able to make it, closer to the time, and I will send you the directions.

The baby birds look beautiful. I love this design!!
