I'm still here

Hi all! Yeah I'm still here. Alive and kicking. Sorry I've not been posting I've just been going though some things. Last Friday I had to go into the hospital to have a polyp removed. Or have a ladies proceedure as my DH called it. They ended up having to do more to me than they thought they would but, I'm fine now. Back to 100% and running around being my old self again. :)

Thanks to all of you who knew something was up but, didn't know exactally what and sent me your best in an e-mail.

Yes I caved in and got the Mirabilia Christmas Elf Fairy Kit. I'm having a lot of fun stitching her. Below is my first scan. I've gotten more done with her and I'll post a more recent photo this weekend.

Can anyone help me with the Whisper White you need to use for this pattern. I've never used it before. Do I sepearte it into strands like I do with DMC or do I use what I take off the spool? Taking it off the spool seems really big to try and stitch with.

You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)

You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.
You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

Jenn it's nice to see you posting. I can understand the "ladies procedures" as DHs call it. I've been through a few of my own, though not quite the one you mentioned. And still fighting the doctor. Anywho, great to know your back to your ol' sel. As for the monster name, geesh...no wonder the nunnery is dwindling! :)

Jenn,
The Christmas Elf is really cute. It looks like fun to stitch. I am glad to hear you are doing better. How scary to have a polyp removed. I know I was scared when I had my own "ladies procedures" in the past. But it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm glad you have been stitching. I hope you continue to feel better. Let me know if you need anything.

Glad you feel better! I stitch with one strand off Wisper off the card. Celtic Winter calls for two strands of Wisper and one strand of floss! Yikes! I used one strand of Wisper and one strand of floss... you will find it will glide through your linen well :-)

I also stitch with one strand of Whisper like Carol mentioned. Your elf is going to be so cute.
