August Goals

I've never tried setting goals for myself for stitching but, I thought I would give it a try for Auguts and see how I do.

1 - Finish my Wizard Teddy (Harry Potter Bear).

2 - Continue Earth Angel SAL with Carol.

3 - Continue Mermaid Heaven SAL with Carol and Amy. I've still not seen a WIP picture of this from Amy. I do think she's started this though.

4 - Work on Frederick The Literate SAL with Mary.

5 - My Teddy Wizard was a WIP/UFO sitting in my stash. I was thinking if I can finish this piece I should pick up another WIP/UFO and try and finish it off. Just take them one at at time and one day they will all be done. Now Frederick is a UFO but, since he's a SAL I'm not going to count him. I'm thinking the next piece I'll pick up is 100,000 welcomes. I've looked on line to see if I can find a picture of this piece but, I've not been able to find one. I'll have to scan a picture of it and post it here.

6 - I think Carol and a bunch of other bloggers are going to be starting a SAL of Celtic Winter at the end of the month. I was going to join them and do it but, this piece just wasn't doing anything for me. I have ordered it from Stitching Bits and Bobs so I will have it in my stash but, I think I'm going to do Celtic Summer while they are working on Celtic Winter. Celtic Noel with the converted colors has been calling to me but, Carol and I have decided that we are going to do that one as a SAL starting sometime this winter.

I don't seem to be having any luck with orders I place with Stitching Bits and Bobs. Both time what I've ordered has been out of stock. I ordered Celtic Winter and Holiday Round. I don't know which one of them is out of stock. I just hope it arrives soon. :(

Good luck with your August goals! I've been setting monthly goals for over a year now and they really help me keep my stitching focused. I also get a sense of accomplishment when I review them and set new ones each month!

Hi Jenn,
Your August goals look great! I have that Frederick the Literate kit too :-) I don't know when I will stitch him, but plan to swap it out onto 28 ct black jobelan (already bought the fabric) - I also have Maggie the Messmaker and Too Pooped to do too :-) I love the Charles Wysocki kitties. Oh, and I have his Magic of Summer as well.... not a kittie, but perfect to stitch for my SIL and the kids - the spend the end of July and early August at her parents' house in Falmouth, MA every year (the pic of the kit is in my Yahoo albums) - have a good day - yay, Red Sox are on tonight!!
